Summer coming to an end...

Wow... August 19th today, where has the year gone? I can't believe that tomorrow my son officially starts third grade. Seems like yesterday he was just starting pre-school. I get a few weeks of some quiet time with Emma before she starts preschool. I'm looking forward to some girl time alone. In September with them both at school I'll get the chance to work alot more (hopefully). There are lots of creative ideas running around this brain of mine waiting to come out!!!!

Check out these beautiful new fabrics from the FRENCH HAT BOX COLLECTION by Tanya Whelan . Aren't they delicious? Her fabrics are just glorious. I love them all.

This little pillow for Aliza turned out super sweet. Hope she loves it! Maybe one day I will have a camera that will take a decent picture... oh well. I have fabric scraps to remind me =)

Felt, Felt and More Felt!

Something about felt that just makes me a little loopy. Is it the texture? The endless colors? I'm not sure. You can make just about anything out of felt. My latest pins are modified versions of Heather Bailey's pattern 'La Fleur Debris' which I ADORE! So fun and fresh! They are little cupped blossoms that can be worn just about anywhere. I love them pinned on my favorite hat! Where will you pin one?

Bee oooo Weeee OOO.... goes the fire truck! Another felt surprise. A special onesie spoofed up with a fire truck applique. Of course, finished off with ric rac (a vintage staple). Soooo cute!
Both are in my Etsy Store... working on some more dolls this week!

A Little Sunshine In My Day!

I've had so much fun over the past few days. Working diligently on this little lion pillow for sweet Allison.

When she asked me to create this little guy I wasn't sure where this adventure was going to take me. Pleasantly surprised I found myself getting so wrapped up in all the little details. Look at those whiskers. This little lion couldn't hurt a fly. I nick-named him Sunshine (Sunny for short).

I'm sad he's leaving my workroom, but happy he's making his way home to Seamus. I hope someday soon I hear the story of him snuggling up to his sweet little pillow.

Girls In My Garden

There are some girls in my garden... at least for a brief moment. I spent the entire week working on these beauties while the kids were off at day camp. So sweet. I have a hard time parting with them. Sometimes I wish I were 5 again. Just to sit and play with them all day!
Not sure what's next. I think i'm moving on to felt flower pins. I love felt.

Fly Home Little Birdie!

This was a custom pillow created just for baby Aaren... love that name! His mommy sent me the sweetest pictures of his nursey. All different shades of blues and yellows and yummy greens.

This little birdie was just about to take flight. Once I had him laid out and pressed, that's when the real magic happened. The stitching is very time consuming, but watching this bird come to life is so much fun!

I can't wait to see what his mommy Stacy thinks! I hope she loves it as much as I do! Fly home little Birdie!

A great day for pictures!

My sweet Emma Rose. She is growing up so fast. I wish time could stand still. Here she is modeling one of my 'beautiful blossoms'.

Emma and Spencer had so much fun running around Oak Canyon Park. It's such a beautiful place. I had to share this fun pic of them on the bridge.

This was such a fun day! Finally some sun after weeks of 'May Grey". I've been wanting to have my products professionally photographed. The oportunity finally was there... here are some cute pics from the day...enjoy!

SWEET GIRLS

I'm in love...I just can't stop making these dolls. They are so sweet, soft and cuddly. Each one has a personality all it's own. I think the thing I enjoy most is creating their hair style. Felt is so much fun!

They will be in my Etsy Store this weekend along with some new bibs. I wish there were more hours in the day. I have so many ideas in my head.

Enjoy these cuties!
